Slayer'ın dun aksamki Londra konserinde, bir seyircinin yaralanması sonucu 4. sarkıda konsere ara verilmis 20 25 dk sonra bilinci kayıp seyircinin ambulansla dısarı cıkartılmasından sonra Tom Arraya seyirciye sabrı icin teşekkur edip bu konsere ozel Seasons in the Abyss i bastan sona calma jestini yapmıs ve konsere devam etmisler.
Surda 3 gun sonra kanlı canlı dalıcam o kalabalıga iyice gaza geldim ulen :)

Jaco Pastorius has long been regarded as one of, if not the, most influential bass guitarist of all time and as some of you may know, is Robert's personal hero. So upon overhearing a phone conversation that Jaco's legendary "Bass of Doom" had resurfaced after being missing for over twenty years, but was tied up in an ugly legal battle, Robert instinctively offered to assist the Pastorius family in its recovery. The happy ending is that the bass is with Robert and the Pastorius family...a true piece of musical history.
Like so many other musical greats, Jaco Pastorius died young, only 35, but his legacy has lasted the test of time. With his pioneering techniques, charismatic and outrageous stage performances and his unmistakable singular style, Jaco left behind a musical legacy that has continued to inspire and influence ongoing generations worldwide. Through his critically acclaimed self titled solo debut album, his work with break-through fusion/jazz group Weather Report, whose "Heavy Weather" album is one of the best selling jazz albums of all time, and his collaborations with singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell, Jaco's reputation and influence grew to permeate many musical styles and genres.
The legendary "Bass of Doom," nicknamed by Jaco himself, is a 1962 Fender jazz bass that Jaco removed the frets from and refinished the neck with boat epoxy. This customized bass was the only fretless instrument Jaco ever recorded with throughout his career right up until it was stolen from a Manhattan park bench in 1986. Despite repeated attempts from friends and family to locate it, the whereabouts of the famous bass remained unknown until it showed up in early 2006 in a small guitar shop on New York's West Side. Unfortunately the owner of the shop refused to return it to the Pastorius family resulting in protracted legal squabbles. Almost two years passed before Robert was able to jump in and help make it possible for the family to settle out the case and regain control of their father's prized bass. When asked about his getting involved, Robert commented, "I felt a strong sense that it was the right thing to do for Jaco, and the family, whatever it took."

obituary'de basçı frank watkins ile ilgili söylentiler ayyuka çıktı. gorgoroth ile çaldığı için obituary avrupa turnesini kaçıracak diyenler olduğu gibi 'frank gruptan kesin olarak ayrıldı, sadece henüz resmi olarak açıklamıyorlar' diyenler de var.
bu arada obituary de yazın avrupa turunda çalması için death metalin nöbetçi basçısı steve digiorgio ile anlaştı. dolayısıyla kendisi unirock konserinde de çalacak.

Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone is critically ill in hospital after being attacked in Chicago earlier this week.
According to a post on his twin brother Madina Lake frontman Nathan Leone's blog at 7:30PM yesterday evening (approximately 1:30AM British time) Matthew was severely beaten after coming to the aid of a woman who was being attacked near the singer's appartment.
"I'm afraid I have some of the worst news that has ever hit our lives," begins Nathan's blog post. "It's almost impossible to even type this update. A few nights ago, Matthew walked from my [apartment] a block and a half down the street to meet a friend for a drink.
"Half way there he saw a man severely beating his wife. Being the most amazing, strong, heroic and incredible person I know, even though the guy was twice his size, Matthew intervened. He managed to subdue this guy for a second, and since his wife was beat up pretty good, [Matthew] called the cops. As he did so, the guy jumped him from behind and beat him. This guy did things I can't even type. Afterward, he and his beaten wife left Matthew unconscious on the street.
"Matthew is in the hospital with a third of his skull removed as we wait for the swelling in his brain to go down. I'd rather not share any additional information at this time besides the fact that he acted as a hero - as he always would in any of these situations - and is paying a horrific price.
"Please send all your love and good energy and vibrations to him. I've been and will be next to him throughout the entire recovery process. We don't know enough yet details about how that will develop, but it has shocked, stunned, disgusted our best friends, family and band (which are both). The world can be evil beyond belief and as much as we want this evil eliminated, right now our hearts heads and energies need to go to my best friend, soul mate, hero, and angel, Matthew.
"Love you all and will be in touch as soon as I can muster up the emotional energy to reach out again. Please, be safe and peaceful as we get through this impossible time."
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Leone family and Madina Lake at this sad time.

Wolfheart was chosen and it will have an official stamp of itself, reproduced below. This is an official stamp and it will be sold in every post office in the Portuguese territory from the 19th July on and it costs 1€ and it can be used as national and international postage. Being that the whole of our career kick started as penfriends and tape traders we could not think of a more perfect and suitable distinction. In three days we share the stage with Faith No More and Alice in Chains in Optimus Alive Lisbon.
"In the meanwhile the band is working on their new album, the most exciting, sexier, darker, heavie and catchier stuff we wrote in ages! The album is due to be released in 2011. You can catch the band live in Summer Festivals and on the 70000 of metal cruise in January 2011."
